CHARTERED

This project, designed in conjunction with Ellen I. Brotman, Interior Designs, Inc., involved a complete remodeling of an existing Burger King franchise. The purpose of the project was to provide an image which is fresh, contemporary, light and lively. Design features include a new color palette of lighter values, all new finishes selected for their cleanliness and durability, and all new lighting. Visual interest is enhanced through the use of millwork, wainscot and neon decorative elements. Two specially commissioned paintings of Georgetown highlight the entrance, while graphics and neon lighting are utilitzed to break down the scale of the elevator shaft turning it into a whimsical decorative element. The American Society of Interior Designers selected this project to receive its annual design award.
