The Ozark Highlands Trail is a long distance hiking trail crossing the Ozark National Forest in Arkansas. Starting at Lake Ft. Smith State Park on Highway 71, the trail goes easterly for approximately 160 miles across the Boston Mountain, Pleasant Hill, and Buffalo Ranger Districts.

Approximately 12 miles west of Little Rock. Many opportunities are available from exhibit guides and park research, to trail maintenance, and undraising. Support the park by becoming a member of Partners for Pinnacle, Inc. Volunteer Hard Hat Days are held the third Saturday of every month. Contact the park Director of Volunteers on Wednesdays for details on programs and training.

The Illinois Prairie Path is a 55-mile-long biking, hiking, jogging, equestrian, and nature trail in Cook, DuPage and Kane Counties about 20 miles west of Chicago.

The Hoosier Hikers Council was organized in 1994 out of a recognized need by Hoosier hikers and backpackers to "do something" about deteriorating hiking trail conditions in Indiana. The HHC was incorporated in 1995 as a non-profit, fully tax-deductible, organization. Help maintain and improve existing Indiana hiking trails, and build new footpaths where needed. Work to extend Indiana's  Knobstone Trail to its full potential 140-mile length.

 Established in 1996  for the express purpose of assisting the Forest Service in its management of horse trails, horse related facilities, and activities in the Hoosier National Forest.
Our Mission: To bring the HNF Trails and Equine facilities up to National Forest Service standards.  To present a postive public image of equine activities in the HNF.  To strive to promote equine activities in the HNF in conformance with multi-use goals.   Through grant writing, cost sharing, and volunteer work the Hoosier Horsemen have assisted the forest service in updating maps, improving signage in the Hickory Ridge Trail System ,and performing trail reconstruction.

The Superior Hiking Trail is a long distance footpath that follows the shore of Lake Superior in northeastern Minnesota. Founded in 1959 the Buckeye Trail Association is a non-profit group of volunteers, dedicated to the construction and maintenance of a hiking trail approximately 1200 miles long that generally follows the state boundaries. The BT links with, and forms part of the North Country Trail.

The Ashland Ski Trail Association is a non-profit group, formed in September 1996, dedicated to opening and maintaining a cross country ski trail in the city of Ashland, Wisconsin. The full 5.5 kilometers of the trail are tracked for classic style skiing and most are groomed for skate style skiing as well. In the summer, the trail offers a beautiful walk in the woods without ever leaving the city.

A non-profit volunteer organization devoted to constructing, supporting, and advocating biking and hiking trails in Rock County Wisconsin. Our primary project is the development of the Rock River Trail on an abandoned rail line from Beloit through Janesville and Milton and connecting to the Glacial River Trail in Jefferson county. Activities include trail maintenance, meetings, and fundraising for trail projects through our raffle, and running and cycling events.
