The Tides Inn, constructed soon after the end of World War II, is a celebrated resort facility in Irvington, Virginia, a fishing village that evolved, from the 1950s to the present, to a charming vacation and retirement community. The Tides Inn was sold to Sedona Resort Management in the late 1990s. Sedona is in the process of completing a major rehabilitation of the historic hotel.

Whitehead to learn about seeking state and federal historic preservation tax credits. Sadler & Whitehead was hired to review the plans and to apply for tax credits on behalf of Sedona. The project design has been approved and the project has been granted Part 2 preliminary certification. The Tides Inn is one of dozens of properties
