Snowmobiling
directions to HQ Camp To Park at Young's Mobil Station: Follow Rt 3 North through Pittsburg, 3-4 miles after Town center you should see an Arctic Cat dealer on your left, it is a big log building you can’t miss it. About 1/2 mile later the Mobil will be on your right. Park truck and trailer there. To
get to camp Cross Rt 3 out of parking lot onto snowmobile trail 140, follow up
hill through woods across road through woods across Day Road to intersection,
140 will go right you go straight - continue over bridge and through pit onto snowmobile trail 141,
follow 141 for about 8 miles, to Depot Camp (marker #70, just passed where 142
rejoins 141), at Depot Camp you want to go straight, 141 will go to the right
but you go straight (ungroomed trail), this is the middle branch of Indian
Stream, follow for 3 miles staying on main trail, watch for orange mile marker
signs nailed to trees (Depot is at 12 mile our camp is on the right just before 15 mile)
There are a few side roads off this trail but just stay on the one most
traveled. To Park at Arctic Cat Dealer: Follow
Rt 3 North through Pittsburg, 3-4 miles after Town center you should see an
Arctic Cat dealer on your left, it is a big log building you can’t miss it.
Take your first left after you see the dealer which is Back Lake Road,
follow by the Arctic Cat dealer for about 100 yards then turn right,
(the Yamaha dealer will be on your right) go past the Yamaha dealer about 100 yards up the road
on the left is the warehouse and parking lot on your left (be careful as this is also the
snowmobile trail for Perry Stream). Park
truck(s) and trailer(s) there. To
get to camp take left out of parking lot onto snowmobile trail 142, follow to
sand pit (1-2 miles - marker #57) turn left at pit onto snowmobile trail 141,
follow 141 for about 8 miles, to Depot Camp (marker #70, just passed where 142
rejoins 141), at Depot Camp you want to go straight, 141 will go to the right
