This year the season was tough, lots of does but no bucks were seen!  This is a picture of Gladys our neighborhood moose, I think everyone got a chance to meet her up close and personal.  Well maybe Jeff didn't get to see her, but that's because she never actually went inside the camp!  Even though we didn't see any bucks we still had a great time, lots of hunting time in the woods and of course the fellowship around camp.
Here Eddie explains how he tried to climb a tree to escape the ferocious attack by a pack of coyotes.  Eddie was muzzle loading and feared 1 shot would not be enough to secure his safety.  The word on the street is that Ed will be heading to Canada next year to try once more at entering the record books with one of those Canadian monster bucks you only get to see on Realtree Outdoors.
Brother Bill tracked down and killed one of Eddie's attackers.  He found him over on the back side of shit ridge heading towards Frank's Camp.  1 shot from a 7mm Mag. was a little too much for the rascal to take.  Bill again lives up to his nickname "Coyote Bill".  The boys at East Branch Camp had a little better luck with the deer herd, as they scored on 3 bucks, 2 of which they got while we were in town throwing a few back at the Eatery.
Bill also got a nice little spike in Topsfield that he brought up with him, which in hind site may have landed him in the "SWEET" for next season.  The votes are in and Brother Bill has entered the sacred fellowship of Buckmasters - of course next year the rules will have significant changes.  Well the hunting season is over and it's time to think SNOW!!!
