taking a ground blind I dozed off for what I'm sure was only a second
when I heard some noise I awoke to this 9 pointer standing broadside 20
yards away. Something was wrong with my gun and it wouldn't fire,
finally after opening and closing the bolt several times it fired
hitting the buck in the spine and dropping it in it's tracks! Of
course no one showed up to help me drag so I had to drag it back to camp
myself! |
