We just happened on this traditional Shinto wedding ceremony when we went to visit Meiji Shrine.
Dedicated to the Memory of Emperor Meiji, who led Japan into the modern era around 1868 when the Tokugawa Shogunate returned power to the Emperor and the Samurai class was disbanded.
