The purpose of this page is to answer the most common EMAIL question we
get and the toughest to answer,
Where Can I Get A PlayChoice 10.
*NOTE: The following are my opinions, your mileage may vary!*
When buying a PlayChoice 10 system:
A) Determine if you are looking for a:
Dual Monitor System(Very Heavy & large)
Single Monitor System(Heavy & Large)
Table Top Model(Rare & more expensive) (Also cannot use a gun with this system)
B) Two more things to consider when buying a machine:
1) Is there someone local to fix the machine if it breaks down or are you technical enough(or want 2 be to fix it yourself)
2) Condition: Are you looking for a mint system, a non-working system, GUN a requirement, etc...
C) Location, Location, Location, Location:
When buying any video game, location is the most important thing. This will determine if you can buy the machine locally or need to get the game shipped to you. As you can see from A above, these games are VERY heavy and that means they are expensive to ship. Locations also determine the machines price, prices from New York vs. prices in Texas are very
different.
Recommendations:
Buy a PlayChoice 10 from your local operator: They can be found in your
1) Phone book under Arcade or Amusement.
2) On Mr. Pinball site http://www.xmission.com/~daina/tpcr/index.html
3) Using any Internet search engine with your state & arcade games as keywords Buying from a local operator can normally offer service if the game breaks down.
Buy from EBAY, local auction, or over the Internet if you are able to service the machine yourself or don't need technical support, don't care about shipping cost, close to a forward air terminal to pickup game & have truck or van to transport, and BIG friends to help you move it.
Ball park prices for the PlayChoice 10 system are anywhere from $50 - $600.00 depending on the above condensed requirement(without shipping)!
Many of us PlayChoice 10 collectors trade & sell the individual games. Thus not a real concern when buying a System.
It is extremely easy to change the games inside the system, even for an Non-Technical person!
