To The Skating Coach A Thank You Goes!

You take her by the little hand
On the ice you become her guide
You teach her how to jump and land
She follows your every stride

Your reassuring smile
The kindness in your ways
Your gentle teaching style
Makes her only feel praise

She may never win first place
Or an Olympic medal hold
But, the smiles you put on her face
They're worth much more than gold

The skating coach should take a bow
For so much more he gives
The lessons that he teaches now
She'll carry as long as she lives

A finer person he's helping to mold
Human kindness from him is what she knows
A gift that forever she'll have to hold
To the skating coach a Thank You goes!
