A Competition To Remember

I'm in a competition, my first one of them all.
Will I do really great, or will I trip and fall?
I look at the list, good, I'm up last!
I'll go get a snack very fast.

The first girl starts, oh dear, she tripped!
Now on her score points will be stripped.
The rest have all gone, and now it's my turn,
My head feels hot and my face starts to burn.

The music starts and ends very fast,
How well did I skate?  Will I be last?
The scores go up, I did it, I won!
I knew this would be lots of fun!

I won I did it!
I think, I know, I need to sit!
And here's a trophy for my room,
Now let's all go eat, it's almost noon.
