In Memory
Every once in awhile
I'd see him smile
The smile that turned my day around
The man with those eyes, Stand through the lies, see what your hearts
were saying.
Think of Sergei, But laugh, don't cry.
I know he'd want it this way.
A friend of all friends,
A friend till the end,
that's the kind of man he was.
Taken away so young,
Taken away without warning.
Think of Sergei, But not with tears.
I know he'd want it this way.
I know he's here with us in everyday we live,
I feel the warmth of his presence,
I can even see him if I try really hard.
Sergei, where are you now?
Are you far from here?
I don't think so.
I think you are here, taking our tears away.
Think of Sergei, with fond memories, not tears,
I know he'd want it this way.
