to Crescent Diamond Danes. We are not a professional kennel which attends shows every weekend and breeds several litters a year. We prefer to be considered ethical hobby breeders, breeding very sparingly, only when we want to keep a pup. When we do breed, our Danes are OFA certified for both cardiac disease and hip dysplasia, as well as CERF. We breed to the physical standard as published by the Great Dane Club of America, with particular attention paid to temperment, health and longevity. Our Danes are all first and foremost, family members. They are kept in the house, allowed on the furniture and given plenty of attention. Potential puppy buyers are screened thoroughly as Great Danes are not for everyone. All non-show prospects are sold on a limited registration with a spay and neuter agreement - there are no exceptions to this. We feel responsible for any pup we produce, and will take back any pup that cannot be kept should circumstances change. This is explained in detail in the contract.
