What Is Reverse a Word?

It's a three-part word game. Start with any two-letter word. Reverse the letters and add a letter at the front or back to make a three-letter word. Reverse those letters and add another letter at the front or back to make a four-letter word. That's all there is to it. All words should be verifiable in a good dictionary. Proper names are not allowed unless the name is also a word, like 'don', acceptable.

Extra points for four-word or more entries.
