Vines in Peak

I remembered to sit on the "passenger" side of the train for my commute this morning, since the views out the "driver" side windows are superior. And I noticed that some of the ivy on the granite walls was bright red. Like a stoplight. It was pretty, and it occurred to me that these vines were probably at their peak fall colors. I had never considered that VINES would have a time of peak coloration.
