During my 35 years working with the public and speaking with literally thousands of people, I am still saddened when I see how often they chose a path that leads them away from happiness instead of towards it.

This is Molly. She is in a real pickle. She met this cool cat named Joe, but now there's a problem.

    Here

is her story

 Waiting For Someday

  • Before meeting Joe, Molly was happy and comfortable in her life and ready to commit to a monogamous long-term relationship; preferably marriage.
  • Joe is married to Mary, but they have grown apart and are not happy.
  • For reasons or their own, Joe and Mary have no intention of ending their marriage.
  • Joe was honest with Molly about this from the start.
  • But, there was "something about" how Molly felt around Joe
  • Now Poor Molly is in love with someone there is no hope of a future with.

The Sad Truth

No matter how realistic we are about life and no matter what our experiences have been, humans tend to make decisions/choices based on the truth they want to see ignoring what they find distasteful.

I am sure you've guessed which truths Molly decided to follow - That’s right  the fact that Joe is unhappy in his marriage and liking how she feels when she's around Joe.

If Molly had honored her own truth (ready for a commitment) and honored the truth Joe told her about his marriage not ending (already committed), she would have walk away. Leaving the door open for a more appropriate companion or life partner to walk through.

But she didn't. Because she enjoyed how she felt around Joe, she gave into the human instinct for immediate gratification and chose to walked down the wrong path with both eyes open, fingers crossed singing that all to familiar song “Maybe Someday”.

The problem is, while Molly is waiting for “someday” to arrive, today is passing her by. The one and only thing we are guaranteed in life is the very moment we are in. Don’t waste that precious moment waiting for someday.

There will be times when you won’t like the truth you see or hear. But if you follow that truth, happiness will follow as well.

Know Truth – Know Happiness

No Truth – No Happiness

No or Know?
The Choice is yours to make.
Think about it.
