Mrs. Karen Wickstrom has 27 years of teaching experience. She has been teaching kindergarten for La Salle Academy for 14 years. Previously, Mrs. Wickstrom taught in the Berks County Intermediate Unit, St. Paul's Nursery School, and the Brandywine Heights School District. Mrs. Wickstrom is a graduate of Edinboro University. She holds a B.S. degree in Elementary/Special Education. Mrs. Wickstrom has presented at the annual Diocesan Conference. She has been Head Teacher at Little La Salle for 14 years. She is a master teacher, and a member of NCEA

Mrs. Wickstrom is La Salle's Early Childhood Coordinator. She is Head Teacher at Little La Salle.

Fun Activities in Kindergarten:

At Little La Salle, kindergarten is one fun activity after another. Kindergarten students enjoy learning math by using "Mathematics Their Way." They become excited about reading by participating in the B.E.A.R. Party. They celebrate 100 days of school, Wacky Wednesday, and invite grandparents to Grandparents' Day. Kindergarten students present a Thanksgiving Prayer Service, Christmas Show, and Letter People Parade for parents. They enjoy taking field trips to an apple orchard and the Performing Arts Center.
