Mrs. Mary Ellen Greenich has been teaching at St. John's and La Salle Academy for 37 years. Mrs. Greenich is a graduate of Alvernia College. She received her B.A. degree in Elementary Education with English as a dual major. She holds an Instructional II Certification. Mrs. Greenich was named in Who's Who Among Teachers, and is being considered for Cambridge Who's Who Among Executive and Professional Women in Education. She received the Governor's Award for Safety in Education. She is a member of NCEA, and a member of the National Dean's List for Teachers. Mrs. Greenich is proud to be a certified Catechist.

Fun Activities in Second Grade:

Second grade is an important year because the students receive two sacraments, Reconciliation and Holy Communion. In the spring they also enjoy attending the sacrament breakfast with the older students.

Mrs. Greenich does numerous activities to enhance the curriculum. Each month begins with a new book and incorporates and theme-based activities. The students look forward to Halloween, a visit from Santa, Mardi Gras, field trips, and an Author's Tea.
