Mrs. Denice Cannon
Mrs. Denice Cannon has been teaching at La Salle Academy for 10 years. She has taught physical education and sixth grade. Mrs. Cannon is a graduate of Holy Name High School. She received a B.A. degree from DeSales University in Politics, and Elementary Education Certification from Alvernia College. Mrs. Cannon holds an Instructional II Certification. She coaches CYO girls basketball. Mrs. Cannon is a member of NCEA.
Mrs. Cannon is La Salle's Spirit Club Coordinator. The Spirit Club is responsible for providing fun activities for the students throughout the year such as: the faculty vs. the volleyball team, red and green day, boys vs. girls basketball game, the Easter egg hunt, raffles, contests, and bake sales.
Fun Activities in Sixth Grade: Sixth grade students look forward to presenting the "Sixth Grade Play" for their parents and the school. Sixth grade students also assume a leadership role by working with the younger students on a variety of activities throughout the year. They become involved with a social justice project in religion class and reach out to special needs children at the John Paul II Center. Sixth grade students enjoy participating in the jr. high school dances, and CYO sports activities. In addition, they learn more about science by visiting the Franklin Institute and participating in La Salle's Science Fair.
