Mrs. Rose Bodner taught at McAdoo Elementary School for 3 years before coming to St. John's. Mrs. Bodner has 40 years of teaching experience. Previously, she taught 4th grade and junior high. Currently, she teaches English to 8th grade students. Mrs. Bodner received a B.S. degree in Elementary Education from Bloomsburg State College. She holds an Instructional II Certification. In addition, she is a certified Catechist and a master teacher. Mrs. Bodner is a member of NCEA.

Mrs. Bodner is the Declamation Coordinator. She helps to prepare 7th and 8th grade students to participate in this annual speech contest.  Mrs. Bodner is the Mission Coordinator.

Fun Activities for Eighth Grade:

Mrs. Bodner incorporates various activities into the 8th grade Language Arts curriculum. Writing activities, impromptu speeches, and contests are just a few.
