Mrs. Gail Ambrose
Mrs. Gail Ambrose has 29 years of experience teaching math. Previously, she taught at Notre Dame Elementary School, Southern Lehigh High School, and tutored at Northampton County Community College before coming to La Salle Academy 19 years ago. Mrs. Ambrose graduated from Millersville University with a B.S. degree in Secondary Education and Math. She holds an Instructional II Certification and is a certified Catechist. Mrs. Ambrose has taught math, algebra, religion, and literature to students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. She prepares the eighth grade students for the sacrament of Confirmation. Mrs. Ambrose is a member of NCEA.
Currently, Mrs. Ambrose is the Math Coordinator for La Salle Academy. She is the coach for Mathcounts and moderator for Mathletes . In addition, Mrs. Ambrose is the Middle States Co-chair. She served as Head Teacher for one year.
Fun Activities in Eighth Grade:
La Salle students look to the eighth grade students as role models and for their leadership. Eighth grade students look forward to this exciting year. They receive Confirmation and participate in The Living Stations during Lent. Eighth grade students are Prayer Partners that take their responsibilities seriously. They are the officers of the Spirit Club and Mission Moderators for the school. Eighth grade students are the leaders for May Procession and Prayer Services. The students travel to Baltimore and Philadelphia to experience many different events. In March they involve the school in numerous Pi Day activities.
