GREAT HEALTH COSTS ME $20/YEAR

I knew I didn't have walking pneumonia for lack of antibiotics in my diet, so I meditated for three months instead of seeing a doctor. Finally I realized that I might be lacking essential minerals I used to get from sea food before our family went veggie. I tried powdered seaweed. Slow; it took six weeks to overcome the lung infection, but during that time my arthritis improved greatly so I continued to take one teaspoon every day. I found cheap sources of seaweed powder bringing the cost down to $20/year.

Slowly all sorts of things improved. Arthritis dissappeared entirely, but so did my tendency to athlete's foot. My prostate retuned to normal from a slightly enlarged state. Sex drive and physical strength also increased markedly and at 71 I look about 50 (but act much younger) with only a few grey hairs. Varicose veins and a tendency to hemmorhoids I'd had for years are gone, but I still have some slight allergies.

For eight years I made no other changes so I know for certain that sea minerals were what I needed for good health, and that keeping off sugar, caffiene, nicotine and other chemicals was not enough for excellent health in later years. I was then given a 1992 article from National Geographic Magazine showing that the world's healthiest old people, the Okinawans were often hardworking and sexually active beyond 100 and their diet contained lots of tofu and seaweed.

Why sea minerals ? Evidently it has to do with the demineralization of our soil which may be caused by 100 years of acid rain or just ten thousand years of rain since the last ice age. Rock dust has been shown to improve the health of forests in Europe. Some minerals, essential to health may just be absent from our soil and no matter how organicaly we grow our food, without those minerals the plants and the food are not completely healthy. But where they are healthy, even the insects are no problem. Healthy plants have such a high sugar content in their sap that fermentation occurs, killing the insects with alcohol, (but they die happy).

Seaweed for plant health was also proven to me by experiments using a seaweed spray where all kinds of plants had outstanding health and could be grown so close together that no weeding was required. We have a great video on that process. I'm also using seaweed spray to grow alfalfa sprouts which taste great and keep for weeks without rotting. Alfalfa sprouts are also very economical because an ounce of seeds can produce a pound of sprouts.

In the garden, sound, like the mating calls of birds is broadcast over the area during the day and that keeps the plants breathing pores (stomata) open so the spray is immediately absorbed. I learned about that from Dan Carlson who developed the "Sonic Bloom" system for greatly imporved organic agriculture. I flew my old Cessna to his farm in Wisconisn, and and flew with him to Colorado to produce the video on his work.

I've shared powdered seaweed with friends who find it very beneficial, but not with the public because I was getting it from a horse supply dealer. Seaweed has also been shown to do wonders for the health of horses.

We've found that seaweed may be a more complete food than Spirulina which does not grow in the sea. Seaweed powder also keeps well and a your year's supply (about 5 lbs.) costs only $20 plus shipping and handling.

My own work for almost 30 years has been independent research on the future of our planet, and I can tell you that the future, a few years from now looks terrific with a new form of decentralized clean energy which will surprise everyone. However, between now and then, we may face a major crisis, possibily bringing down commerce, government departments and all manner of utilities. It's one reason we left Philadelphia to live in a rural community in Washington state. Health matters and agricultural issues have only been a small part of our research, but we see having the best possible health and good food almost as important as a good community to live in.
