Dear Friends,

1. Aquarian Research Foundation is a small nonprofit organization tax
exempt since 1970. For over 30 years we have been (p)researching the
future of our planet from both a spiritual and scientific approach to
find out how this planet can have a positive future. We've looked into
politics, spirituality, health, agriculture, safe energy, love, sex,
lifestyles, and whatever else can bring us a really positive future. We
have found some fine answers by studying success.

2. Now we have just returned from an 18 month stint in the Northwest and
are back in Philadelphia where we have been since 1969. We have a new
phone number: (215) 848-2292 and toll-free message service at
1-877-210-7674, ext. 4694. Our e-mail remains artr@juno.com. I'll now
summarize what we've learned in 30 years.

3. We learned that our entire culture has gone wrong. We asked Ted
Turner to do films on a positive future but his project led only to
publishing Daniel Quinn's ISHMAEL, a remarkable novel that opens minds
and shows how we got into the mess we're in, but not how to create the
future positive.

4. We've come to seek the "Big Picture" and find out how humanity can
once again learn to truly "love one another". For 99% of our time on
earth, all humans lived communally in tribal societies based on sharing
instead of private property. Some were inherently violent, but others
very peaceful. Unfortunately, our violent culture tends to ignore
peaceful societies and writes history as a series of wars. Private
property arose as kings and emperors destroyed tribal cultures to take
slaves and make the masses dependent on government.

5. Separated from our natural tribal culture and taught to compete, we
have lost our way. Scientists find that babies are by nature altruistic,
but learn from adults to be selfish. Cooperation and altruism is still in
our genes, so the message of competition dies if not continually
reinforced. But a sick society with sick governments, teach just that. A
church or group living communally is often called a "cult" and sometimes
violently destroyed, i.e. Waco. Rulers want to keep us apart and
dependent on them.

6. Early Christianity and other religions brought folks together so were
of no use to rulers. Roman emperor Constantine killed off the Early
Christians to form the "Roman Catholic Church" which then pretended to be
from the apostle Peter. That "Church", using the name of Jesus, then
slaughtered nine million Wiccans, mostly women whom it made out to be
"witches". Wiccan meant "wise" and referred to healers of that time. The
"Church" went on to torture others with the "Inquisition", and made sex
out to be in some way evil. Luther attempted some reforms but
continued with violence and war against all who resisted his state power.
The Bible, once printed revealed a way of love but those who sought to
follow it communally as did the Early Christians (Acts, 4) were often
severely persecuted by the State calling itself "Christian". Much
confusion about real Christianity continues till today.

7. ENERGY: BIG CHANGES ARE COMING ! Since the dawn of industry we have
been dependent on fossil fuel use which destroys the planet, but now new
energy so safe and abundant is being developed that even Solar Power will
be obsolete! Controversy still surrounds the amazing discoveries of
Dr. Randell Mills and his team of 25 coworkers. He still gets very little
publicity for his discovery of the "Hydrino" which is a

collapsed form of the hydrogen atom. Dr. Mills discovered that hydrogen
atoms can collapse to form much tinier atoms and release from 100 to
1,000 times as much energy as it takes to get the hydrogen from water. I've done four interviews
in 1997 with Dr. Randell Mills which are published in Infinite Energy
Magazine and much more recently The Village Voice did a cover story on
his work written by Erik Baard. That story, and one the Wall St. Journal
cancelled at the last minute can be found on Mills' website:

Though Dr. Mills seeks no publicity at this time, I've followed his work
closely and feel sure it will totally revolutionize physics, chemistry
and the future of energy so that in a few years every little village can
have its own decentralized electric power without the use of fossil fuels
or even solar energy. We will probably see cars that can go 1,000 miles
on a single charge of a small battery.

8. Humans tend to be violent as a result of incomplete brain development
! That conclusion was reached after 17 years research by our friend,
James Prescott, Ph.D. who was hired by the U.S. Gov't to find the cause
and cure for child abuse. But child abuse is only one form of violence
and he knew he had to study the cause of violence in general for a real
answer. He studied 49 different cultures and animal species as well as
babies and children. Specializing in brain development and cross-cultural
psychology, he found that incomplete development of the pleasure
centers of the brain causes tendencies to violence in humans and animals.

But these findings were not loved by the government who hired him. Were
they followed fully, few children would tend towards drugs or violence
and soldiers would be hard to come by. Though native here, his website

9. So we find ourselves in a totally unnatural culture; "competition"
has prevailed for only 1% of our time on earth, but is already able to
destroy all life. War is just the ultimate form of competition. Love has
been suppressed and natural human urges made to appear "sinful" to give
government total control. As long as we are jealously afraid to love one
another, we can be kept so separate that government is our only
"security". Mothers are forced to work away from home, abandoning
children who need breast-feeding for full brain development. This
perpetuates our violent, addictive culture and lets America with only 5%
of world population hold 40% of the world's prisoners. Is this the "Land
of the FREE" ? It should be quite obvious that we're duped.

10. Y2K turned out to be nothing - or was it ? Perhaps it was excellent
mental practice for a severe economic collapse which seems inevitable
sooner or later. Stocks are valued falsely, not for company earnings, but
for rising value which is only a result of false "something for nothing"
psychology. The more they rise, the more folks want them and that causes
the rise to continue.
But sooner or later the stock market "bubble" must burst and with it a
major economic collapse far worse than in the 30's. Back then, almost
everyone knew a farmer who could produce food by himself, with horses if
necessary. Not so today. We are totally dependent on complex systems of
transportation and marketing which can fail miserably with a failed
economy. How then will millions of city folks survive ?
We face a crisis that may be far worse that Y2K folks imagined and there
is great need to form all kinds of cooperative systems as quickly as
possible so we can care for one another in times of need.
11. Free Long Distance can come with high speed DSL Internet service for
$40/month in some places. We have it here now. With DSL we can make free
long distance calls almost anytime. Mostly the system works fine and
sometimes it falters, but "what do you want for nothing, anyhow ?" So if
you need to call us just call at 215-848-2291 and ask Art to call you
back for free.

Free postal service is another matter. The postal service has put
stickers on letter boxes saying that "for reasons of heightened security"
all packages over 16 oz. using stamps must be mailed in person at the
post office window. I've ignored that and packages went through till
recently when one was returned, Postage un-canceled, A sticker said I
must present it to the clerk, but without more stamps. Well, had I made
an "error" and put my address as recipient and the "to" address in the
corner, it would have gone right to him with no stamps canceled and the
same priority envelope could be used time after time with new labels.

Of course I'd never intentionally make such a mistake, nor would any of
you, So this is a moot question, but it appears to be perfectly legal.
One can also put the same address in both places, I suppose.

Now the "Heightened Security" issue has to do with mailing letter bombs.
The Post Office apparently believes that bombs weighing under 16 oz. are
quite harmless, and need no restriction. (Have to draw the line
somewhere, no ?). I seem to believe the purpose is rather to instill
increased fear in our minds so that we give the government more power
over our lives. The "Unibomber" is, we're told, still in jail, well
guarded.

So, I dare not advise anyone to send free mail, a thing no patriotic
American will do, and don't you ever do it either. This note was just one
of those "evil fantasies" of using "the system" for the people.

12. National Geographic reported that the healthiest older people on
earth are the Okinawans many of whom are sexually active beyond 100.
Their diet is highest in tofu and seaweed. About 12 years ago I had
walking pneumonia for 3 months, but knew it was not for lack of
antibiotics in my diet, so instead of a doctor I chose powdered seaweed,
one teaspoon daily. The cure took six weeks during which time my
arthritis improved so much I decided to keep it up. As a result of that
one change, my health has improved in many ways. At 72 I look like 50,
have few grey hairs, increased strength and sex drive and general health.


The best seaweed powder is from Source at about $100/lb. in capsules
from health food stores, but exactly the same "Source for Horses" comes
from Jeffers Horse Supply for $4/lb. (no capsules). 1-800-JEFFERS is
the number and you order 20 lbs of "Source for Horses" (not called
seaweed) to get that $4 price. Perhaps horses have horse sense ? Don't
tell them you are not a horse !

13. Love is sharing many things. Growing up in a totally honest culture,
we'd not need to hide our feelings at all. But how many of us are so free
? How would we live if we never feared the opinions of others ? The
German community of ZEGG I visited in 1996 says: "Jealousy is to love as
asthma is to breathing". Why is it that our deepest longings which we
fear to share, incline us to lifestyles not the accepted "norm" ?

14. I believe our future survival as humans may require us to rethink
entirely the rules under which we live and love.

15. How would you live if you could be quite free to follow your deepest
longings ? How would you love and reach out to others of your kind ? We
can now do that with the Internet "Reach Book" where we can post a free
notice asking for the kind of community we want to live in or the kind of
folks to join with us to form our own group. You can find it at the

16. Also at that website you'll find out how to obtain the new 2,000
COMMUNITIES DIRECTORY which I have here now. It has about 700 listings of
all kinds of communities and many other resources to help you find out
what others are doing and where to visit them.

17. ZEGG is ending violence, fear, and sexual repression. Starting in
Germany 20 + years ago this group of 75 - 100 struggle to find out how to
create a new culture for our planet that would work with Gaia instead of
against her. I see them as the most advanced group I've found in 52
years of communal seeking. They have produced two great videos and I'm
working with them and a video marketer to try to make their work
available all over this nation and the world.

19. I've personally spent over 20 years in various kinds of communal
groups. For another 20 years I used a 1958 Cessna to fly folks on visits
to many others. Now it is more difficult to find an acceptable community
as I have also to satisfy wife and son while our daughter already lives
in a collective house and studies at Temple U. It may be we could create
a community here in our 8 room Philadelphia house, but it is in a poor
section so only daring folks need apply. A free thinking, educational
community like ZEGG is my ideal. Folks wishing to come here should
probably view the ZEGG videos first.

We have a special listserv for folks interesting in starting ZEGG style
communities in the U.S. Send any (blank) e-mail to:
zegg-subscribe@egroups.com and you'll be on the listserv
which is unmoderated so whatever you send it is there. Keep your items on
subject.

20. After years of struggle by Stephen Dunnifer and many others, it
looked like FCC would finally O.K. Low Power FM stations which are easy
to set up for under $1,000. However, big broadcasters including NPR
lobbied congress to prevent that. Are they afraid independent low power
stations serving local areas would weaken their control of our minds ? An
FCC reg. allows unlicensed operation if it is controlled by fire or
other emergency services and some schools could cooperate with them to
set up a station. We have one and can set it up in that situation for
expenses only.

21. Aquarian now has it's own e-mail listserv to which I send at most one
message per day. If you wish to join it for free. send any e-mail to: fr2-subscribe@egroups.com. Only the address is required.
Expect about 5 items per week.

22. We have a totally owned 8 room house in Philadelphia's Germantown
section and have DSL high speed internet (for which we have a
competent instructor) and hopefully free long distance. We are
presently in chaos, only just returned here after 18 months in the
Northwest, but are open to interns of any age who may want to volunteer
and study our planet's future here. E-mail & phone calls are a start.

23. Aquarian has had a donated printing press for 30 years but today most
of our communication is by e-mail listserv so we need to replace that
with an 11 X 17" copy machine. Printing on our old press is far too
time-consuming and we mail too few to make it worthwhile. Donations
towards a good copier or a machine itself would be very much appreciated,
as would tax deductible donations generally. Aquarian's only income is
from folks like you, and our budget pays no salaries as all work is done
on a volunteer basis.
