Location: Level 6, forward starboard section
Function: Central eating place where the crew gathers for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Specialized Equipment: The "Food Wheel." A crew member turns the triangular indicator dead center of the wheel, and an indicator "reads" the biological make-up of whoever is turning it, guiding the turner to a food cylinder containing the planet-appropriate meal. At least, that's what's supposed to happen. (The Food Wheel doesn't always work.) The food in the cannisters is dehydrated, and restored to its normal state by the addition of small amounts of water. The galley also contains: a multi-colored "peacock table," which retracts into a single stack when not in use; a sink for dish washing which retracts into the wall.
