There's more to Catalina than meets the eye. See, she's got an invisible
friend she calls Suzee. Catalina seems pretty good at solving tough problems
the Space Cases face, but then gives the credit to Suzee. Catalina comes
from Titan, which is one of Saturn's moons. She possesses an ear-splitting
scream. She's also got rainbow striped hair, with bands of color arranged
in circles. What better style for someone from the ringed planet? As for
Suzee, well, we really don't know much about her. Catalina says Suzee's pretty
smart. So does that mean the Space Cases have an invisible genius on board,
or does it mean that this girl from Saturn is in an orbit that's truly her
own? You decide.
Catapulted into Suzee's dimension, Catalina is now in Yensid with no way
of getting back. (She'd always said she wished she could visit Suzee's world,
and now she's certainly gotten the opportunity.) Still, Catalina's going
to be keeping an eye on the adventures of her crewmates, and if there's any
way to get her back to her own dimension (and Suzee back to hers) you know
the kids are going to find it.

Vital Statistics:
-
Birthday: Some time in or near 2246 (Earth standard); she was about 15 when
the Christa left the Starcademy.
-
Homeworld:
-
Catalina comes from Titan, which is one of Saturn's moons.
-
Powers:
-
Catalina can emit a piercing sonic
scream. A really skilled Saturnian can emit a scream that
can knock down a building; however, it takes years of practice to achieve
that much skill. Catalina can communicate with Suzee across the
dimensions because her brain waves are on the exact same sonic vibrational
frequency as Suzee's.
-
Relationships:
-
Catalina's first and foremost relationship is with her friend
Suzee in a parallel dimension, previously thought
to be imaginary. She has a love/hate relationship with Harlan:
on the one hand, she's in competition with him
for leadership of the group, but on the other hand, she finds she's attracted
to him.
-
Family:
-
Catalina's parents were famous diplomats. They are
dead. The family tree she prepared for a class assignment indicates
that her parents' names are Enke and Rhea, that she has a paternal aunt or
uncle, Vela, and that she has two siblings: Thetia and Nereid.
If she followed standard format for family trees, she is the middle
child. Catalina's grandfather was on the team that first arranged
for the colonization of the planets in the Sol system.

FYI:
-
Cat often uses the expletive "Grozit." She almost never
dreams.
