Information:
His house is still standing in 1969, a frame building south of
Libertyville Ford, on the east side of the Wallkill River, at the
present time owned by Giles Randall. He had inherited from his
father, Jonathan, "all my land on the southeast side of the
Paltz River, but he is required to pauy to his brothers, Andries
and Nathaniel, and to his sisters, Tachel, Cornelia, and Maria, L
250 current money of New York, to be equally divided among
them". He also received Jonathan's large Dutch Bible as his
birth right.
Louis Jonathan DuBois was captain in First New Paltz Co. of 4th
Ulster Regiment 10/25/1775 - 2/21/1778.
