The Damned MkXXI
The Damned MkXXI flies for Greenland as part of the Greenland Air Corps.
We co-operate closely with our parent squad, the Damned MkXX.
Philosophy
We are relatively informal. We don't have ranks or medals.
We fly for fun, rather than for score. Now and then, one of us will work on getting a
high score, or kill/death, or streak.
We don't spy, deathstar, or truce.
We are loyal to Greenland (although we occassionally send an observer or two abroad.)
We are always ready to help another Damned.
Squad Nights
Squad nights are currently Wednesday and Friday, 9PM Eastern.
We often have a planned mission on these nights - usually field captures or bomber escort.
We take part in GAC operations - these are usually large scale attacks
with multiple light and heavy elements.
History
The Damned MkXXI was formed on August 17, 1997 by me (goro) and texs.
Texs was one of the original Damned MkXX, and I was the Damned MkXX XO.
We spun the MkXXI off because of Warbirds' limitation on squadron size.
August 18, 1997. Maccy and Speedy are kind enough to sign on. I appoint Spee
to the XO post.
August 21, 1997. Texs creates the fine Damned MkXXI poster.
August 26, 1997. -Zim becomes the fifth member of the Damned MkXXI.
The Damned Poster
Our new Damned poster (top of page) is based on a painting by Jay "Vossman" Thompson. It's copyrighted by him.
