My Favorite Subject!

To define what beauty is to me, you need only look at my illustrations in colored pencil, pen & ink or on the computer. Cute little turned up noses, freckles, impish grins, twinkling eyes, pale white skin, a come hither look, wild flowing hair, and playful erotica. That's not to say other characteristics are not desirable, but that's what I like and I've tried to project it in my art.

As a child I attended art classes at Carnegie Institute's, Tam O' Shanter and AM Palletes painting classes. I was taught by the artist Joe Fitzpatrick that art was mans attempt to recreate beauty. At the Art Institute of Pittsburgh I continued my Education and I've made it my mission in life to try to create only beautiful art. The most beautiful work of art I know is the female form. My co-worker Bob Heilman always says: If God made anything better, He kept it to himself. I love drawing pictures of women. Most of my art is designed in pen and ink then rendered in colored pencil. Many of the designs that I've created by conventional means, I'm now rendering on the computer by scanning the pen and ink drawing then coloring and manipulating them on the computer, thus creating a sort of hybrid of my designs and illustrations and taking my art into a whole new dimension, as well as to a whole new audience.
