A Collage For Morgan
|
Here's a collage I made for Morgan to use as wallpaper on her PC. There are pictures from our trip to Washington D.C. in the summer of 1997, her softball photo, 6th grade school photo, and one photo of her first cat. A couple of the D.C. photos are worth mention. There's the one with her standing on the base of the "No Standing" sign. Then there's another of her with the ducks, where she looks like a little indian girl. The flower in her hair came from the Capital garden (she made me climb up on the wall and get it ... we were naughty that day!) and the feather came from one of the big ducks near the reflecting pool. She chased them around until she caught one, then plucked it! Morgan does have some Cherokee blood in her veins and we playfully gave her the indian name "Running Water", because she was always running around and she loved swimming. The dinner photo is at the Hard Rock Cafe in (where else?) the Beatles section. How appropriate! We sat at the same table that her mom and I had used a couple years earlier. The photo on the fence is at Mt. Vernon with George Washington's pioneer farm and the Potomac River in the background. The others are the obligatory White House photo, one with "Honest Abe" in the Rotunda and the last near a priceless Monet (cropped out) in the National Art Gallery. The centerpiece is our "family" portrait. I think we make a pretty good team. She's a great kid, a good friend, and likes school. What more can a parent ask for? ... ... how about more visitation! |
