I always enjoyed getting my fingers slimy digging out the insides of the pumpkin and then, together with Morgan, carving out a face. In 1993 we got a little creative and gave the Jack some character. In 1994 I went out to visit and carved out my last Ohio pumpkin. When I moved back to Pittsburgh I bought a fake one that I use each year. It just didn't seem any fun carving a pumpkin without Morgan to help. We DID have a lot of fun together, Morgan and I, and it's little things like carving pumpkins together and building snowmen that I miss the most.
