1936; 54"H; Heroic in Size. Glazed Ceramic. Subtle pastel colored undertones with decided pastel shades randomly brushed on hair, eyes and lips. Not shown is pastel tinted fish in the back being held by the subject. Gregory always housed this sculpture in his indoor Garden Room.

CLASSIC BATHER

48"H; also executed in the mid-1930's in unglazed ceramic. Gregory mixed his own clay and claimed the rich earthy color was excellent without glaze. Gregory kept this in his outdoor garden approx three seasons only and housed it in his indoor Garden Room during the winter months. Though it could withstand sub-zero temp as it was high fired, he just enjoyed having it around.

CLASSIC BATHER

THREE GRACES

Three more bathers; titled "Three Graces"; 1936; 25x23x12". All glazed white ceramic with pastel undertones; with heavier pastel tints on hair and on the water to give it movement.
