Question: Would it be possible to see what the requirements are for
all gloves and instructor
rankings, I would like to learn them myself and take the last examination
?
ARSIC: We suggest that your start from the beginning. Your instructor
will be trainning you. When you register with ARSIC-International
you will be provided with a list of techinques. Initially, the list provided
to you will be for
both the blue and the green glove.Requirements for all color gloves
ranking can be found on the member only access of ARSIC-International Webpage.
The Savate regulations translation can also be found on the website for
ARSIC-International Registered Members. Please keep in mind that the translation
of the regulations
of Savate in the English language are Copyrighted by the Library of
Congress in Washington, DC. Copying is allowed for personal usage only
after written approval to ARSIC-International Copyright office and translation
commitee. The member page should address most of your questions.
ARSIC: We suggest you discuss this with your instructor. It should take you a minimum of about 10 years to become a Professeur of Savate.
Question: Are the ARSIC requirements the same for the US as they are for a savateur training in France or Belgium?
ARSIC: Yes, They are actually a little bit more difficult.
ARSIC: For ethical reasons and respects to our members, ARSIC-International

Question: With whom do I test on the Eastern Coast of the US?
ARSIC: You can contact. The NJ Savate Federation in New York City (Montiteur.Armando Basulto or Moniteur Norman Taylor).
The USSF In Maryland, Mr. Joseph's Sholtz (president USSF) or Steve
Savoie could also provide you with the test from Blue glove to
White Glove.
In California Professor Salem Assli from the Dan Inosanto Academy
Question: Does the French and International Federation honor the certificates of anyone testing in the US?
If you get your all your color ranks registered through ARSIC-International
they will be signed by a FIBFSDA Professor of Savate and are approved in
the US, in France and Internationally. Further, ARSIC-International will
register as US Instructors any Instructor Ranks provided by the FIBFSDA,
the FFBFSDA or ARSIC-International Registered instructors with a teaching
license in good standing with ARSIC.
Instructors who have been certified Overseas must be approved by ARSIC-International
in order to be recognized in the United States. A copy of Instructor certification
obtained in France must be provided to ARSIC-International.
ARSIC: 1st level Instructorship (Initiateur) and 2nd level Instructorship Moniteur (1st degree) can be obtained in the USA if examination is provide by an ARSIC-International Registered Companion de la Savate seminar or a seminar provided by the International Federation. 3rd level Instructorship Moniteur (3rd degree) has 2 parts. The written part can be provided by ARSIC-International and the second part must be provided by the International Federation. There are very rare seminars in the USA which are recognized by ARSIC-International and offering 3rd level instructorships. The Moniteur (1st degree) level is sufficient for teaching Savate, awarding ranks, directing your own club as well as sending students to competition nationally and potentially internationally throught ARSIC-International.
ARSIC: Be a first level instructor that has a good standing teaching
license with ARSIC-International (ARSIC Registered Initiator of Savate),
be an ARSIC Registered yellow glove of Savate (in good standing) and to
take the examination
for Judge and for referee with an ARSIC-International Referee of Savate
or at least FIBFSDA International Apprentice Referee of Savate. ARSIC is
currently only allowed to provide examination for County, State, and US
(National Referee). To go beyond and become an international referee you
must go to France and pass the test for FIBFSDA "Apprentice International
Referee" and then get enough international fights that you are actually
serving as an international
referee. There are, may be, 5 or 6 International fight Referees that
I know of that are recognized in the entire world.
Question: Are there any boxe francaise, canne, or baton contests in the US at this time?
ARSIC: Currently, there are only extremely few fights in the USA that are recognized by ARSIC-International because of the lack of referrees in the USA . There are only States fights in California, Texas and some upcoming on the East coast. You should contact Armando Basulto of the New-Jersey Federation. He is in charge of setting the US Team. You need to be minimum Red glove to compete.
