The Home I
Never Knew

In January of 2003 I returned to Vietnam for a month after being away for 28 years. My photos and email journal are captured on this site as a memoir of my travels.

I planned the trip myself and traveled with my American husband who had never been to Asia. The trip changed my understanding of my personal identity as an American and a Vietnamese person. My hope is that this site will encourage others to re-discover their heritage.
