COUNCIL OF MINISTRIES is rescheduled to 7 PM this Wednesday.

OUR CONGREGATIONAL CHRISTMAS PROGRAM will be two weeks from tonight, Dec 21, at 6:30 PM.  Program will have instrumental preludes, songs and recitation by the Primary Department, and a short play by the youth.  There will be a social time afterwards.  Each family should bring a dozen or two of your favorite Christmas cookies to share.

PRIMARY DEPARTMENT PRACTICES for the Christmas Program are planned again this Saturday at 10 AM and on Dec 20.  Please come!

ABOUT A DOZEN OF OUR MIDDLE SCHOOLERS plan to attend the Virginia Conference Junior High Retreat, this Sat_sun, at the United Methodist Assembly Center in Blackstone.  These include Kevin Aulich, Christopher Davis, Jennifer Delk, Rebecca Jerrils, Sarah Miller, Nicole Mulamba, Rudy Mulamba, James Powell, Katherine Saunders, AAron Smith, Doche Utshudi, along with sponser Chris Miller.

CHRISTMAS CANDELIGHT SERVICE is set for this Sat, 6:30 PM, at Williamsburg Retreat Center. The program will be a mini-musical by area youth choirs.

CAROL SERVICE BY LAMPLIGHT at Providence Mennonite Church, the Sunday before Christmas, Dec. 21 at 4 PM, will have contregational carols, soloists, children's chorus, refreshments.  [There will be time for this and our program at 6:30 PM]

CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE is anticipated here as usual on Dec 24, beginning at 10 PM, c/o Jewell Shenk and helpers.

DAN HOSTETTER continues in Obici Hospital, with slight improvement over the past week.

Hallie Whitecotton continues to be confined to bed at home as part of her treatment for the bloodclot in her leg.

CHRISTINE RAISNER is doing well after out-patient surgery on her hand last Monday.

SAMPLE BALLOTS for annual Church Elections are in family boxes today.  If you can't be here next Sunday morning, you may use today's form as an absentee ballot by signing and giving yours to any member of the Gifts Committee.

PLEASE REMEMBER to include Angela and Tyrone Taylor on your Christmas List with a gift for "Mennonite House" and Habitat for Humanity.  Warwick River's goal for this shared Christmas project is $5,000.  Designated checks should be payable to Warwick River Mennonite Church.  See Steve and Lisa Ziegler and/or last week's red bulletin insert for details.  Also check with Steve and Lisa if you can use a gift card informing people on your Christmas list that a gift has been given in their name for Habitat for Humanity.  Later, they will help schedule Warwick River volunteers.

WILLIAMSBURG RETREAT CENTER is offering three Winter Youth Retreats:  Dec31-Jan 2, Grades 9-12;  Jan 9-11, Grades 6-8;  Jan 23-25, Grades 3-5.  Brochures were placed in appropriate family boxes several weeks ago.

ANNUAL LAURELVILLE WEEKEND FOR MUSIC & WORSHIP LEADERS is coming Jan 9-11.  Tell jackie Hall or Jill Donovan if you would like to travel with them.  A 10% discount is available for four or more.  Program info is on the bulletin board.

WRCS BOARD is looking for additional members on their Finance Committee to advise on budgeting, investing/borrowing, and financial management.  Talk to Treasurer Lynn Showalter.

MENNONITE BOARD OF MISSIONS has more than 100 missionaries in 25 countries in our global community, including our special family:  Lynda and Rod Hollinger-Janzen in Benin.  Let's keep them in our prayers, too.
