Biography
I’d spent twelve years teaching songwriting at the University
of Virginia’s Young Writers Workshop, conducted scores
of writing workshops, and freelanced as the lead singer/songwriter
reviewer on
Minor7th.com. Sure, I’d performed hundreds of times,
headlining clubs
like Charlottesville’s venerable Prism Coffeehouse and
the Aerie in Eagles Mere, PA. I’d toured France in an
old time band, did well in a few contests, and opened for
We’re About Nine, Hot Soup, and even Dave Matthews.
But I was always primarily a teacher and a father. The time
has finally come for me to put my music where my mouth had
been. The result is This Human Heart.
