Akamai Technologies, April 2000 to February, 2001.

 

            Web Developer

 

Developed for and maintained Akamai's public web sites and Akamai’s Intranet.  Implemented streaming media for Akamai's public and internal sites and encoded and edited streaming movies for the sites. Wrote, filmed, and edited training movies and encoded for streaming on Akamai’s Intranet. Created Coldfusion applications that captured information into databases and other applications.  Coordinated intranet publishers and conducted training sessions in the use of the intranet web publishing tool.  Developed proposal for the creation of state of the art video editing and streaming media studio.   Worked with various servers in a Unix and NT environment.

 

Workgroup Technology Corp. (WTC), April 1997 to April 2000.

 

            Development/Support Web Administrator (WTC)

 

Develop and administer web sites for WTC Development department, Technical Support department, and other internal departments.  Developed the public and internal Technical Support web sites and the Development intranet site. Used SQL to create various database dynamically generated web pages from Oracle and MS Access databases.  Created a WTC Focus Accounts web page that is generated out of an Excel accounts file, and technical support searches generated through SQL from an Oracle 8 database. Installed, configured, and maintained Netscape Enterprise Server for Unix and NT, Apache Server for Unix and NT, and  IIS Server.  Set up ODBC database connections for web pages using ColdFusion Studio 4.0 and other SQL middleware. Created cgi/perl scripts for html forms for searches, mail to forms, and for downloading/uploading files.  Created Java Scripts and used Java applications that incorporate Java interactivity onto web pages.

 

Customer Support Representative (WTC)

 

Worked in a Unix and NT environment as a member of the Technical Support Department receiving technical support questions from WTC customers. Created both internal and public technical support web page. Modified SQL scripts to meet the various reporting needs of the department. Created SQL scripts that automatically generate html output for use on the technical support internal web page.

 

PC Support Specialist (WTC)

 

Worked in the Workgroup Technology IT department as a PC Support Specialist. Responsible for building both NT and Windows 95 systems, giving software support to users, and trouble shooting various problems.  Carried out project for entire Workgroup site that updated all NT and Windows 95 machines for IP addresses, dns addresses, installation of operating packs, and network fax capability. Designed and created MS Access database to record network information and converted database to html to make information available for internal use.

 

Developer and Creator of Stream the Movie Productions: StreamtheMovie.com

 

Created and developed a streaming media, editing, and filming web site that specializes in making movies for the web. This includes encoding for streaming, editing movies, creating training movies for distance learning, and integrating Power Point slide shows with a presenter streamed in one frame with a synchronized slide show in the other frame. The site is database driven that was written using SQL and Coldfusion. It also features an on-line web client for creating new pages and editing existing pages for the site. Wrote all content and coding language for the site. Developer and Creator of  E-Commerce Web Site: Sillygifts.com

 

Created and developed Sillygifts.com e-commerce web site. This included developing the original concept for the site. I wrote the html code and the SQL code and integrated it with the shopping cart code.  This is a database driven site that connects to an ODBC database (MS Access). Also connected the site to real time credit card transaction gateway.

 

Business Developer

 

Developer and owner of Flame Lamothe Productions,  a sole proprietorship business that initially sold watercolor bookmarks and greeting cards to bookstores and gift stores.  Business has been expanded to include  web design and video editing and streaming services. Wrote business plan and developed sales and marketing plan. September 1994.
