BILLFISH BIO AND DISCLAIMER

Red and Blue Banner

I asked my good friend and fellow professional, Max Kieper to write the following unbiased, objective description of myself. I did this to give you the truest sense of who "billfish" really is. Any description which I would write would be filled with exaggerations and half truths and be slanted toward how I wanted to be perceived rather than who I really am.

BIO

Billfish is an aging technical type who has been through a lot in his career. While working for various companies he has been laid off, downsized, fired and given negative raises (and probably some other nasty things, which he has forgotten about). He has also worked as a temp and as a consultant. He certainly could have used good advice on Job Security.

Now he is reminiscing about his career. He has decided that he should try to do something to help his younger fellow workers (some of them look like kids) succeed better with their jobs then he did. On a practical note, he knows that these young workers will pay for his retirement through Social Security. So it is in his best interest if these "kids" keep happily working.

Looking back now he realizes that when all of these indignities were happening to him, there were always coworkers who were getting by unscathed. They were the ones with successful strategies for job security.

So rather than see the clueless continue to suffer he has embarked on this appeal for the sharing of job security knowledge. He has stated that it is time for the "job gifted" to come to the aid of (at least a little bit) the "job challenged". The whole working Cyber World stands to benefit from this sharing.

As a close friend of billfish for many years I gladly wrote the above description for him.

billfish Note

I thank Max for the above short bio and also for his help as editor of "The Prince" page. His job mindset is in sync with the contributors to that page and he truly understands their sentiments and motivations. Actually, the inclusion of that page was his idea for which he should get due credit.
