Silent Wrecks (in production), documentary about World War II shipwrecks in the Marshall Islands.

 

Endangered Mermaids (2001), documentary about the endangered Florida Manatee.

 

Beneath the North Atlantic (1998), documentary about the ecology of the North Atlantic Ocean.

 

Sharks: The Real Story (1996), science oriented documentary about sharks. (Recut for USA Networks as Sharks: Search for a Frenzy).

 

·            Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Boston, MA
Making Parents Your Partners (2002), documentary style training video for healthcare professionals about children with special healthcare needs.

 

·            WCVB–TV, Needham, MA
Chronicle: The HealthBeat Project (January, 1997 – September, 1999), a series of 13 specials on current medical topics. Have produced segments and programs for Chronicle since 1984.

 


·            Hearst-Argyle Television Productions, Needham, MA

The Healthy Kids Show (1997), a series of 8 programs on parenting made for Healthy Kids Magazine, broadcast on the Family Channel.

 

·            Partners HealthCare System, Inc., Boston, MA

Write, edit, layout, and photograph for two quarterly newsletters on medical computing for the Information Systems Division.

 

·            Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA
Annual report for the MGH Radiology Department; Ghost wrote a series of articles for various publications about technological developments in radiology.

 

·            New England Institute of Art & Communication, Brookline, MA

Teach courses in single and multi-camera production, writing, and documentary production.

 

EXPERIENCE

Massachusetts Corporation for Educational Telecommunications, Cambridge, MA

Senior Producer (September, 1990 – December, 1994). Responsible for the annual production of over 500 live, interactive, instructional teleconferences for K-12 schools throughout the United States, including studio production and live television remotes. Managed staff of over 15 producers, associate producers, and production assistants. Produced, directed, and/or hosted some programs.

 

WGBH–TV, Boston, MA

Producer (October, 1988 – March, 1989), Bodywatch, a series on medical topics for PBS. Produced two complete programs and portions of a third.

 

WCVB–TV, Needham, MA

Senior Producer (January, 1988 – October, 1988 and April, 1989 – September, 1990). Responsible for content and some aspects of production for the repackaging of 175 Chronicle programs for broadcast on the A&E Cable Network. Also produced a special on the Stuart murder case for A&E.

 

WGBH–TV, Boston, MA

Senior Producer (July, 1986 – December, 1987),The Western Tradition, a $2.1 million, 52-part series for PBS on the history of western civilization, funded by the Annenberg/CPB Project. Managed all phases of production and post–production and a staff of researchers, scholars, writers, and designers.

Executive Producer for News and Public Affairs (October, 1985 – July, 1986).

 

Boston Programming and Access Foundation, Boston, MA

News Director (January, 1985 – October, 1985), The Neighborhood Network News.

 

WGBH–TV, Boston, MA

Producer (September, 1981 – July, 1984). Produced, wrote, and directed documentaries and other public affairs programs. Managed other producers.

 

Reporter (March, 1976 – September, 1981), The Ten O’clock News. Did general assignment reporting and substituted regularly for anchor, show producer, and assignment editor. Nominated twice for a New England Emmy.
