The Alexandria Royal Fyfes, Drums & Trumpets is a professional musical performance entertainment company, and along with the experience of performing over twenty seven years, we bring a taste of Baltimore like no other. We offer a multitude of entertainment and ceremonial performance acts, all based around the exciting musical combination of fyfes, drums, trumpets and percussion, that is an absolute local Baltimorian tradition brought by immigrants from around the world. We then expand on that in dramatic fashion with a variety of additional instruments creating a sound and impact that is unmatched. Just for fun we add some unexpected comical satire from an irreverent tri-cornered perspective. Comedy? In a town that is the birthplace of the anthem of a nation there is plenty to have some fun with. The fact is we've got a lot to tell you, and it's not exactly as it was portrayed in the history books either. In fact the history books are just wrong. Don't worry though, we'll straighten it all out for you. This is going to be so much fun!
Baltimore is the birthplace of the anthem, the Chesapeake Bay; Fort McHenry, a seafaring time like no other, and The Alexandria Royal Fyfes, Drums & Trumpets and The Olde Seafaring Mariners of Baltimore. Ok, maybe those last two are our own opinion, but we feel quite strongly you will agree once having had us perform for your guests. With the sounds of "Sailor's Hornpipe", "Anchor's Aweigh", "Blow The Man Down", and of course, "Yankee Doodle", "God Bless America", and "The Star Spangled Banner", your guests will enjoy a fun and exciting experience that leaves no doubt, this was Baltimore, and it was amazing!
We cannot entertain your guests in the home of the Star Spangled Banner without remembering those we have lost. With our dramatic and heart felt tribute to all of our "heroes", "those we have lost from throughout our history", "the victims and those that came to their aid in New Orleans, Mississippi, California and Haiti", and especially now, "those that continue to give in the name of freedom in Afghanistan and Iraq", we will touch the hearts of your guests while simultaneously energizing your events. We want to take this opportunity to express the sadness in our hearts, at the loss of all those that have been taken from us.
We have numerous performance scenarios to offer. Some are on the ceremonial side, while others are on the entertainment side. Some will touch your heart. Some will cause you to sing and clap along, and some are just fun. All are designed specifically to entertain your guests while facilitating, supporting, and accomplishing the functional requirements of your event. We have conceived, developed, and refined everything we do with the utmost care and consideration of our clients needs, and we have spent countless hours perfecting every act and performance scenario we offer.
Immigrants brought to Baltimore their culture, their tradition, their music, their food, their passion, and their hopes for a better life. I am one of those immigrants, and it is my sincere hope that we bring your guests a Baltimorian event to remember forever.
