The past is like a mystery novel, with many interwoven plots and sub plots. Each word is important to working out the clues and solving the puzzle. In archaeology, this story is spread out across the landscape, on private as well as public land. It is a very old mystery and many pages are missing, making the surviving pages even more precious. We must be careful to collect all the surviving pages or we will never solve the mystery.
Not everyone knows how exciting this tale is nor how to preserve the "pages." We are here to teach and explain how and why to preserve this story, so that we all can enjoy it, generation after generation.
