SENMAF

(The Southeastern New Mexico
Archaeological Foundation)

a Non-Profit 501(c)(3) Organization

The objectives of the Southeastern New Mexico Archaeology Foundation are to promote, to stimulate and to carry out research in the field of Archaeology, to encourage a more rational public appreciation of the aims and limitations of Archaeological research, to publish and to encourage the publications of all results, to advocate and to aid in the conservation of Archaeological data, and to exhibit the data in a constructive and professional manner.
We at SENMAF are trying to educate private lands owners on how and why we should protect archaeological resources. We understand their needs and the responsibilities that the presence of archaeological sites on their land may bring.
As a private foundation, we only work on private lands and are supported solely by private funding. We are establishing an education and research center to focus on these principles. This center is planned for New Mexico and will rely solely on non- governmental funding.
