Introduction

This document is a cumulation of the work in progress for estimating a confidence interval for a proportion. Section 1 sketches out my first approach to this subject. Section 2 proposes another approach which looks directly at the distribution of the parameter p. Section 5 talks about the method used to find the smallest exact confidence interval, once the parameters a and b have been determined for the beta distribution.
