About the Club
The Mason Dixon Bernese Mountain
Dog Club welcomes Berner owners interested in helping to improve the breed
and enjoy Bernese Mountain Dogs.
This regional club serves the Berner community north and south of the
Mason Dixon line. Membership is not restricted to this region, we welcome
members from anywhere in the country.
Applicants are required to attend one club events prior to being approved as full members. Once your application is received, applicants are placed on provisional status until their application is voted on by the general membership at the next regular club meeting. Provisional applicants enjoy all the benefits of full membership, except voting on club business. If membership is approved, the applicant must pay a one time initiation fee of $5.00 as well as annual dues which are as follows:
Family Membership $20.00
Couple (or parent/child) Membership $15.00
Individual Membership $10.00
Newsletter subscription $7.50
We have meetings four times a year, two in the fall and two in the spring. They will be held usually in conjunction with events such as Fall Fun Day (usually a dog walk and other dog/people activities) and Spring and Fall Fun Matches. We also schedule Tailgate Parties after various dog shows. Classes in conformation and obedience will be run by club members and an agility workshop is in the plans.
