VOLUNTEER AND DONATION INFORMATION

Our program is always in need of volunteered time and money.  We have a staff of 5 struggling to support a multifaceted program for teen parents--a group that needs lots of time, attention, and resources.  The Department of Transitional Assistiance provides money for each student that is enrolled in our program, but the funds they offer cannot cover the cost of running our school.  Many organizations and individuals in our community have graciously donated food, money, services, clothes, toys, and tons of other great things to Futures.  Everything is, of course, tax deductible, as we are a non-profit.  But much better than that is the feeling of giving something back to your community; offering a reward for the hard work our students put in daily in the efforts to get their GED's.
Although donating your time cannot offer you a tax break, it does something far better than that.  You, as a volunteer tutor (high school level and below) will get to meet some fantastic people.  The students at Futures are dynamic, complex, and always entertaining.  I promise you will learn as much from them as they from you.
Please contact us by letter, fax, phone, or email if you are at all interested in volunteering or donating, or if you have any questions about our program.  We want to get the community as involved as possible in the lives of its parents, especially those who are working hard to get ahead in life.
