Electronic Musician Jeffrey Koepper returns to the remarkable setting of St. Mary's Hamilton Village on 19 April 2008 as part of The Gatherings Concert Series.

Jeffrey Koepper Renowned for his technical abilities and restorative powers, Jeffrey Koepper is distinguished for his work in maintaining and reviving vintage electronic music equipment. Elsewhere, he (along with Kelvin Russell) was known as half of Pure Gamma, a duo that brought together the old-school ambience of the '70s with the techno/chillout culture of the '90s.

In 2003, Koepper finally popped his head up from behind his vast museum's worth of gear and presented the world with a long-awaited studio album. Etherea demonstrated a mastery beyond the technical side of his craft. The music alternates between analogue bubbles and digital ice, and bright, smooth, spacious tonal landscapes. The CD Momentium followed in 2006 and references this genre's pulsing motorlike sequencer motion and incrementally expansive growth. His forthcoming CD Sequentaria will be released in Spring of 2008.

Jeffrey Koepper By creating the music of tomorrow with the technology of yesterday, "Analogue Jeff" the gearhead transforms into Jeffrey Koepper the artist. Applying his vast technical knowledge of music making equipment towards programming evocative ethereal sounds and strong rhythmic designs, Koepper produces music of impressive depth and rare intelligence.

Jeffrey Koepper made his solo concert debut on Saturday 19 May 2007 in Philadelphia opening for Steve Roach at The Gatherings Concert Series. His 2008 performances include a live in-studio radio concert on the 27 January 2008 broadcast of STAR'S END as well as headlining at The Gatherings Concert Series on 19 April 2008.

Jason Sloan Jason Sloan is a visual performance/sound/installation artist working out of Baltimore, MD. His aural work is created with computers, synths, guitar and environmental sounds extracted from his surroundings and aligns with the spiritual. He considers his music auditory stimulation, representing a transcendance of the physical world. This mode of musical expression leaves the listener to the workings of their own imagination to give meaning to the work.

Jason Sloan makes his public performance debut in Philadelphia at The Gatherings Concert Series on Saturday 19 April 2008.

The Gatherings Concert Series presents Jeffrey Koepper and Jason Sloan on Saturday 19 April 2008 at 8:00pm (doors open at 7:30pm) in the church sanctuary of St. Mary's Hamilton Village 3916 Locust Walk (just east of 40th & Locust) on the Penn campus in West Philadelphia.
